Recently, Great Wall Motor’s coating technician certification training concluded successfully at the Yatu Global Training Center. The two-week training program, structured around both theoretical instruction and hands-on practice, provided participating technicians with an intensive skills‑building experience.

Yatu has long been deeply engaged in the automotive refinish coatings and OEM after-sales technical training sectors, earning certification for refinish coatings and partnership qualifications for after-sales training from numerous mainstream automakers. This collaboration with Great Wall Motors marks another benchmark initiative for Yatu in OEM after-sales training.

The curriculum is scientifically structured and tightly organized, systematically covering core processes such as safety and health, equipment operation, pre‑treatment, body filler shaping, and mid‑coat primer. It also encompasses the application of mainstream materials—including waterborne paints, three‑coat pearl finishes, and matte paints—while supplementing these with advanced techniques like edge‑filling repairs and pearl‑clouding correction, thereby establishing a comprehensive technical closed loop.

Through hands-on training in all‑water metallic paint application and AI‑powered color matching, technicians have gained a thorough understanding of OEM‑level painting standards. The final assessment places equal emphasis on theory and hands-on practice. Participants reported: “The systematic training has effectively standardized operational procedures and enhanced our ability to manage complex injuries and special effects.”
